I had a salad for lunch today. Mostly because I forgot my lunch in a box. Partially because it's four(4!!!!!!!) degrees outside and who wants to be bothered. But also because I'm capable of making good food choices.....sometimes..
For this, I deserve a cookie shaped sticker.
Admittedly, this would've been much harder if today is nacho day. But nacho day was eliminated from the cafeteria (whhhhhyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!?!) which is probably a good thing.
The hardest thing about eating better is getting past the initial week or so of cravings. When your body wonders where all the pizza grease went. Staying full is the key. Starving yourself or doing something weird like only eating pears is a giant set up for failure. That's how you and up at White Castles at 2 a.m. Inhaling the left side of the menu. I don't want to be that person. Lol.
Lunch day 1 - accomplished. Next up, pushing past the 2 p.m. "If I don't have a cookie I'm going to fall asleep at my desk" wall.
